Great product comparison. We have the S1500 in our office, and it is super-fast, and it scans both sides of the document! I have mine connected to Evernote (Premium version) and everything I scan gets automatically put into my Inbox. I spoke with someone today who uses the S1300 when visiting clients and needs something lighter and more portable. So, we might purchase one for that purpose.
I would love to get the 1500 but i cant afford it. Ill go with the 1300. Im still glad I'll use this than manually flipping the pages on my flatbed scanner and taking 20 seconds to scan each page =)
They are both great scanners. The S1300 ($250) works well for occasional scanning (receipts, intake forms, mail) and is the better choice for mobile users or when desktop space is limited. The S1500 ($500) is better suited to batch scanning (entire folders, document conversion, high resolution jobs). The S1500 also includes a license of Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Standard.
Is the 1300 plugged into a USB port or to a wall connection?
