@DarkPrince0fWGTN 1953 Iranian Coup and installment of the dictator Shah (1953), support of Saddam Hussein war against Iran(80's), support of AlQaida against the Soviets(1979-1989), Iran-Contra scandal, War Crimes in Afghan & Iraq War(many admitted by US soldiers) and covered up by others (Pal Tillman case), support of Alqaida leaders in Lybia (2011) such as Abdelhakim Belhadj (many attrocities are documented in video) were ALL backed by the US. But of course there are more.

@tstruss912 what? the general population of the US is massively against the war in Iraq. Now you're just getting caught up in pacifist propaganda.
-
@redryan20000 You're making lame excuses for murders. I guess that's your role in life. Somebody has to support the status quo blindly, I suppose.

@tstruss912 saddam used biochemical weapons and killed millions with the war with iran. he conquered quwait and then burned the oil fields as he left. he carried out an on-going genocide of the kurds in the north. he had wmds and used them on his own people. in the end you're only suggesting keeping him in power to continue doing these things. it's irrelevant that the US was meddling with the middle east back then, we have to take responsibility for our actions and put an end to his regime.

@redryan20000 The three wars I mentioned had to do with crushing an agressive impreialist force. Saddam had no such force. His military was weak. And his worst crimes...we supported all of those, so we know that's not the reason. Weapons of mass destruction? Nope. We gave him those too. He stopped being our bitch. That's what happened. I can forgive a lot, but not Hitch's support of the killing of tens-of-thousands of innocents in the name of punishing a former crony.

@tstruss912 you could say the same about WW2, WW1, and the revolutionary war. it only meant that more europeans and more americans would have to bow to the oligarchy that reigned through the british empire. all the munitions were funded by corporations, they were already taking over our democracy since before it started. The reason he supported the Iraq war was because saddam fulfilled all the necessary elements for the loss of sovereignty. why do you call hitch a disappointment in this video?
-
@redryan20000 Oh no, fuck no. I'm ready and willing to fight if I'm attacked or if America is attacked. But our wars have nothing to do with that. The only three noble wars that I can think of are the Revolutionary War and World War I and II. BTW, my family is German. I think they were in the wrong and my relatives who fought for Germany had to be killed, unfortunately. Since WW2, though, every thing we've done has been about forcing corporatism on people at gunpoint. That includes Iraq.

@tstruss912 im guessing you're a pacifist?
-
@Bazompora not at all.

What happened to Hitch....what a disappointment...only sycophants can like what he became towards the end....sad case.
That's it. I cannot stand Americans who do not know their own history. If you are an American, and you are patriotic for the wrong reasons...kill yourself. If you are misinformed about the history of American propaganda spread through mainstream media....please kill yourself. Happy New Year.

@KndrLnd It is sad, but many Americans do not really know what their government has been doing for decades. They probably got the media controlled to shape public opinion for a political agenda.

Christopher Hitchens really works hard to give credit to his titular position in "the Four Horsemen", by prostituting himself as a warmonger for the fundamentalist right.
