Army-Navy Screen Magazine presents a line up of stars from the Armed Forces Radio Service program "Command Performance" to entertain the troops. Filmed at Camp Roberts, California this is part of one episode.
It's November 13th, 1943, possibly the height of World War II, and Bob Hope and company are out to please. What a performance they deliver!
Bob kicks off the show with some stand-up comedy and then introduces Betty Hutton who sings "Murder, He Says." Next up is Lana Turner who does a sizzling routine with Bob. To wrap up the show is a very young Judy Garland singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."
This is an incredible show and the troops absolutely love it.
