i love at 1:24 when Roland stumbles on his break and just kinda laughs it off, no biggie! i had the pleasure of meeting and jammin with Roland a few years ago at Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival. He was very nice and told me lots of stories of the "old days" in the bluegrass scene.

I was fortunate enough to see this group at the Kerville (Texas) Bluegrass Festival in the late '80s and meet them individually. The group at that time consisted of Bill Smith, Roland White (mando player in this video), Joe Carr and Alan Munde (banjo player in this video). Awsome harmony and excellent musicians. I still have a couple of vinyl albums by the group (signed), and pull them out ever once in a while to get my "bluegrass fix". So such gooood times!

Banjo pickn's pretty good, too! ♥

Love that mando playin' !!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
To all the new modern "reso" players-notice Gene Wooten takes a break and plays the MELODY of the song like a "dobro" player should. I would suggest you modern players learn that it is not all about scales and some break that never hints of the melody. Oh how we miss Gene and Uncle Josh.
