My second video for the Nine Inch Nails "Ghosts" project. I told my friend Jessica about it and she was 100% ready to do shoot something with me.

Since Jessica is an actor I thought I would have her on camera the whole time - in fact strap the camera to her! As it turns out the best way to lock the camera on her is to just have her hold it. So, not only did she have to act, she had to be the cameraman as well. What a trooper - she didn't mind one bit - and we went on shooting like this for four hours.

  • Absolutely beautiful! I've seen many submissions all with the same themes; picturesque quick shots or purposefully engineered disturbing images. Pah! Life with its day to day struggles is tormenting enough. Excellent marriage of music and visuals. Thanks for taking the time to make your video and share it with those of us who appreciate it.

  • ooo, thank you! Yes, I tried to do something that described the music, and I let the actor, Jessica, play the character as she saw fit. I spent a lot of time getting the edits just right - thanks for noticing my vision - you hit it spot on - life tormenting enough without purposefully shot disturbing images.

  • Excellent work! The images and music are married beautifully in this piece. I felt empathy for the character and identified as a female viewer. Thanks to you and Jessica for taking the time to share this!
