That is not correct. I have gotten plenty of trophies in the tournament area.

10000 is an impossible score. A perfect score on this course is 9658. It is well documented how most of the high scores in Webkinz are not legitimate and were achieved through a hack.
Realistically, the highest you can get is around 9649 - in fact, any score above that was probably illegitimately obtained.
