Here is an example of what happened when she got the Haldol. The "fits" that typically come once in a while were constant throughout the day, and her eye movements were much worse.
When the drug wore off, and she got some sleep, the next day she was fine

  • Just to clarify, this "fit" she has, is NOT a seizure. This is part of her movement disorder that they cannot figure out what is causing it. but she's had 3 EEGs and no seizure activity has been revealed.

  • God Bless this sweet angel and I pray for strength for her parents.

  • @HeWhoAvoidsTheLight ...I claim to be agnostic. Friends say I'm atheist. If anything I'm a science nerd. With that said, prayer is the same as hope, faith, love & empathy & the 1 commonality they all share is positive thinking & being surrounded with positive thought has produced positive results in aiding or soothing an ache of some kind upon another or within ones self. It's a feel good thing. Medical science saves lives, but emotion drives that very inspiration.

  • I hope she feels better soon. Thank you for sharing. Please stay strong.

  • My son has seizures, they look a lot like this. He had 2 negative EEG's. EEG's actually aren't able to show much unless she happens to be in a seizure or "fit" while they're doing the EEG.

  • @jjgirlgemini I agree. My son has a seizure disorder. He's on Keppra for it, an anti-convulsive, for it. but it didn't really get under control until we started taking him for regular adjustments.

  • My heart breaks for Leah and your family. I sincerely hope the doctors can figure out what this disorder is and can treat it.

  • Setting aside the disturbing nature of this, and I know it must be devastating as a parent - can I just tell you what a pretty little baby she is? Those sweet little cheeks, all that hair, she really is a beauty. You can see that past all the tubes and wires. Please give her an extra kiss from another mom out there. I wish you guys all the best (all the answers!!) in the world.

  • I'm crying and I can't help it. I have so much love for your wonderful child and I don't care what the anti-God people say, I bless beautiful baby Leah in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray for her complete healing and total restoration. Jesus, you were beaten for her healing, please heal her today. For your glory, amen.

  • @franitube ... "Seizure" is being used in the same context as "fit" for lack of a better term. I find the negative EEGs interesting. If the hypothesis mentioned about REM is correct, then it's a normal behavior & may not register as abnormal in an EEG. It's like she goes into a catatonic state (perhaps better terms) and catatonic states are functions of REM.. Another known term is REM atonia. Curiously, has Parkinson's been considered? Parkinson's patients do experience REM disturbances.

  • Keep your prayers in church and put your faith in the real solution to this little girls awful affliction..medical sciences.

God doesnt come down from on high to save people.

    People save people.

You "true believers" are missing the point..she would be dead already if it wasn't for Science....this being the case what makes you think your God gives a shit.

I truly hope she gets better...but I am not so daft as to think the solution to her problems are going to be acomplished by a bronze age idol.
