'The Way of the Warrior' was a documentary shot by the BBC which aired in the 80s. The last part of the series was called: 'The Samurai Way'. It was never to be released on DVD and has become rare collectors footage for martial artists all over the world.

A young(er) Risuke Otake explains and demonstrates the finer techniques and philosophies of Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu. An must-see documentary for everyone who is interested in the way of the samurai.

Very true but there is a thing as "the oldest - still active - swordsmanship school in the world"

@Protherium - lol, they all say that. problem is you have to have 20,000 incarnations to try them out all so you know what ones are good or not. then that amount of lives later you're like, 'who was that third guy we studied with again? he dead now?'.....

anyway this looks good, so many good samurai doc uploads...i'm going to enjoy this a little later on, and leave before this becomes a social network comment

Absolutely, but you have to agree that it sounds cooler than to say:

"He is a very fine swordsman. A teacher of probably one of the better martial arts school in the respect of trainging for killing with a specific weapon, namely the japanese sword or katana, and not to use it in a sport like fashion. According to himself"
