Look what's available FTA on C-Band Satellite in the USA

Just a quick scan through of what's available across the Clarke Belt Free to Air with a C-Band dish and a TRAXIS DBS 3500 Digital Satellite receiver, the LNB I use is a BSC421, this LNB works just like the small Ku Band LNB's where the voltage controls the polarity, so no moving parts and EASY to replace your old LNB with.

As you can see there are still quite a few FTA channels, not to mention feeds that I never covered here, Sports feeds pop up all the time many in known locations and more and more in HD

of course the TRAXIS DBS 3500 does not do HD so for that I simply slave a Match Box Pro USB receiver to the TRAXIS then hooked up to my PC

NASA HD is still FTA and in HD on launch and landing days!

So it's still worth while having a C-Band setup and if you see one for free I would jump at the chance! I have a 10' C-band dish and also a 6' dish. 6' is as small as you really want to go with C-Band to get 99% of the channels 99% of the time. And remember with C-band there is no Rain Fade, so you will be watching TV when every other Satellite TV viewer is not!

Again this is only a FRACTION of "whats up there"

See the www.SatellitePlus.US forum for more info on FTA TV on C-Band!

  • @GeorgiBancov It would be interesting to know whether there's any footage of what analogue channels are still out there. (I'm assuming the stuff in this clip is digital?)

  • @raverbaby2001 As a Christian I'd still agree there are some "GOD Channels" that are highly dodgy... but some that are alright.

It sometimes varies from programme to programme.

  • c band seems to be Full of bloody GOD Channels we get enough of this rubbish on astra and hotbird lol
