In this week's address, Rep. Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) discusses House Republicans' focus on jobs and fully repealing the president's health care law. The law makes it difficult for small businesses to expand and hire new workers, it drives up health care costs, and it's making our economy worse. After the Supreme Court's decision, House Republicans will work to implement reforms that give the power of choice and control to the patient--not government bureaucracy.

I'm saying the GOP have Americans covered by going to the ER because they have nothing to replace Obamacare with that'll cover most of the population. I wasn't talking about the law that says you can't deny care / going to the ER. I don't really like Obamacare either, I think its half-ass health care reform. And what if its not affordable, are they going to let these insurance cronies keep taking more and more outta people's paychecks every year to keep their stock price up? Our HC system sucks

I'm not commenting on how to finance the health care of illegal immigrants, my point was that countries as developed and relatively wealthy as the west should make the care of their OWN citizens a moral obligation, not a petty financial debate.

Why do you say the GOP has Americans covered by going to the ER? This practice has been going on since as long as I can remember, and I'm 75 years old. So don't blame the GOP, its been the practice of both parties. Have you been to an ER lately? Its filled with latinos who are more than likely illegal.

As a europoean and beneficiary of a social medical system i can only wonder how health care for the least off among people can even be put into question. i don't think the western world is so poorly off compared to the rest of the world that we have to debate the cost of our fellow citizens health and lifes...
