(From Video Co-Pilot)
1.Using online tutorials and the footage accompanied with the tutorials, this sequence was made.
2.Firstly there was the man walking out into the road in front of the green screen. The green screen colour keyed out and the remaining video was masked out using the pen tool such as outside the green screen and around the mans legs and feet on the road.
3.Next, the background video of the truck driving was placed behind the man-walking layer. The man was scaled and positioned so the truck hit him as he reacted to being hit.
4.Using a null object and key-frames, this was attached to the front of the bonnet and followed the truck off screen. The man was then parented to the null object, so as the truck hit him, he was pushed off screen.
5.The mans body was rotationally adjusted so as he was hit he was flipped up onto the bonnet of the truck.
6.Rotational blur was added to the man to give a greater sense of movement when hit.
7.An image of a crashed bonnet was imported into After Effects and this was cut up and colorized to suit the colour and size of the trucks bonnet. It was placed on top of the bonnet and key-framed to move across the screen at the same speed.
8.The bonnets opacity was key-framed so it only came into view as the truck hit the man and then animated so it flipped up and crumpled as the man was embedded into the bonnet of the truck. This was also given motion blur.
9.A particle generator effect was added and the controls amended to give the effect of glass shattering from the lights of the tuck at the point of impact and bouncing on the road.
10.Audio effects were added of the truck passing, the man being hit and the crash sound.

  • @as221975320 Well this is clearly shown as their tutorial, I simply did it myself, and put it online to be viewed by my friend, so, perhaps don't take life so seriously and start living life?

  • @barrels123 Hahaha, yes he posted that comment because he's/she's so frustrated by life. It's a copyright thing and that person is actually correct.

  • @loubricationisdaman Yeah you don't say, seriously frustrated! The videos are free to download and edit using the tutorials, its not copyright since I have done the editing myself and the videos are freely available for use from Video Co-Pilot! I only uploaded it to show my friends lol! Why do people care!

  • Because it's just more fun to animate a guy being hit by a truck!

    Thanks for the comments guys!
