    This song is probably called wipeout because the drummer feels wiped out after the song is over.

    My parents and I hear this song a lot when we eat dinner @ PCH Grill. It was heard on Bart's alarm clock from the episode Cape Feare which was seen on The Simpsons.

    Ron Wilson was the original drummer. He died in 1989 of an an Aneurysm. The Surfaries were out of Glendora,Ca. "Wipe Out" reached #2 on the Billboard Chart, 07-06-63. It reappeared on the Billboard Charts on 08-27-66 and reached #16. Very rare for the same song by the same artist to do that......
