Tribal rhythmics of African-American flavour, for painting a scenario of tensions, riots and disorders, with an aesthetic sensibility unique musically. Great song, from the mythical album "Aladdin Sane", which is considered a travelogue of a European in America.

  • Is that Adrian Belew on guitar? Wearing a necktie?

  • @arklat Yes, it's him, the great Adrian Belew, one of the most esoteric prog-rock guitarists, one of the most versatile and eccentric, one of the most underrated of recent times...

Belew, playing with DB, participated in the creation of "Lodger" and was musical director for "Sound & Vision" tour. Surreal virtuoso, Adrian also plays having fun and making enjoy the audience.

I like very much this artist.

    Thanks for watching.

  • @theMusicofmyLife1 I saw him on the Sound & Vision tour. Belew was unbelievable. I one song he played fully one half of his solo without touching a string.

  • @Steevlan1

Oh, I have no doubt: Adrian Belew IS unbelievable!

What great fortune to have been at that Tour... and it's amazing what you described, but I can imagine, he is a magical Juggler of the strings which, also if only he looks at them, they sound, ah ah.

Thank you very much for your comment.

  • Is he not amazing?!! Let me tell you...he's fantastic! Just listen to that voice. Thanks for this Fiorella, I hope you don't mind if I post this one. Take care friend. :-)

  • @naumnn Displeasure ?! Ha ha, just the opposite, my treasure: to share videos of a magnificent outsider/insider like the Master, for joying together, is the purpose for which patiently the Bowie/channels are working ... and any appreciation is the proof that all this had made sense.

Your comments are always spontaneous, brimming luminous energy, thanks my dear friend.

  • Let me collect dust...

  • Must say Adrian did fill out that Andrew Sisiers WAC uniform when he played with the Mothers. A white shirt and tie? Now come on now.

  • @theMusicofmyLife1. Thanks. The reason I was asking is that I am a big fan of Frank Zappa, and Adrian Belew was a most important contribution to Zappa's onstage shows. If you like Adrian Belew, you should check him out on YouTbe, doing the song "San Bernardino". It is great.

  • he's DELICIOUS! LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART DAVID! <3
