If only it wasn't that tall and had the same height as halogen one.

@compprufus Yeah, that is one of the biggest problems with switching to a 7W Philips Master, however there are alternatives such as the 5.5W Philips Perfect Fit, which will fit in any existing halogen fitting and lasts for the same amount of hours as the 7W Master (40,000 hours)

We need to be a little bit more careful on what we call eco-friendly. While the power saving is there the manufacture and disposal of LED is nothing but toxic. When people sell this product they would do well to also take back the broken ones to ensure the proper disposal.

@watzupdawg You're quite right in saying that it isn't very eco-friendly in the manufacturing of LED bulbs, however, due to the fact LED bulbs last alot longer than halogen bulbs, it could be argued less LED bulbs need to be manufactured in the long run compared to halogen. Add to the power saving of LED bulbs over halogen, LEDs are significantly more eco-friendly. LED bulbs contain no harmful material such as mercury, unlike CFL bulbs making LED bulbs safer to dispose of!
