Field day 2009

I made 54 contacts for Field Day this year. Filed Day is a Ham Radio contest that has been going on every year since 1933. The object is to talk to other stations (work them) exchanging your callsign, type of station and your state. You get points for each contact. I work my contacts from my beat 94 Ranger pickup. I have an electrical tunable short wave antenna which works great. Furthest I ever talked from my truck was Japan a coupel of years ago. It's a real nurdy hobby.
