Sung by the Schola of Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, from "In Cena Domini, Gregorian Chants for the Vesperal Mass of Maundy Thursday" (available here: http://fssp.com/chant.htm).

The stripping of the altars is a ceremony done in Holy Thursday in Catholic (Roman Rite) churches. Whilst the antiphon and the psalm are being recited, the celebrant and his assistants strip the altar of its ornaments, so that nothing remains but the cross and the candlesticks with the candles extinguished. In the same manner all the other altars in the church (if any) are denuded. The altar represents Christ, and the stripping of the altar reminds us how He was stripped of his clothing and exposed to insults and jeering.
