Hop aboard the future of mass, inter-city transportation, courtesey of this traveling exhibition presented by Siemens. Florida was supposed to be the first U.S. state to get one of these high-speed rail systems. Target date for completition if the project for this new, high-speed rail system in Florida with the first express line open and fully operational for service to Tampa and Orlando was expected to be 2015, but thanks to Florida's Governor Rick Scott, plans for moving forward with this project have been placed on ice, once again. But through the advent of this traveling exhibit and this special video that I have produced, you get a glimpse of what your future travels aboard a Velaro high-speed train would've been like. Learn more about this wonderful marvel of the future of mass, inter-city transportation by Siemens and about this traveling exhibit at http://www.usa.siemens.com/industry/us/hsr-portal/hsr-landing.html, and of course if you're one of the majority of Floridians who feel that this form of mass public transit system would be an enhancement to the overall economy of Florida and would be beneficial, contact Governor Rick Scott and express your disappointment in his decision to pull the rug out from under this project. President Obama loves the concept of high-speed rail for mass public transit, why does Florida's governor have to disagree with our nation's Commander in Chief?
It is about time, this train has been cruising Spain for almost five years now. I have traveled from Madrid to Barcelona cruising at top speed of 220 mph back in 2008!! I don't understand why America is taking such a long time to implement what is already a reality in most of Europe, Japan, Russia, China and South Africa.

@gtvnetwork Southeastern is completely different to other high speed services - mainly because it is only on the high speed line for 30 mins and the top speed for these are 140mph, but Eurostar take advantage of being on the High speed lines for the whole journey from London to Pairs/Brussels has 186mph/300km/h as the top speed and is really good - its far better than flying. Southeastern is just plagued with bad luck.

@gibb1991 I know that, I live near Dover, but I was just commenting on how rubbish the trains can be sometimes

@gtvnetwork I think you mean Southeast Railway Company. British Rail was privatized and broken down years ago and all of Britain's railway operators are now private companies.

@pixartist I have been aware. In fact, I rode on one of these a few years back.
I'm just being nostalgic. :-) and the 'futuristic predictive vids' was a rather obscure Disneyland reference (Carousel of Progress, House of the Future, Monorail, et all). I thought it would make sense as this vid was posted by someone who posts vids of ex-disney attractions, and the fact that I'm a Disney fan myself.

@MikeFolf you are aware, that those trains already connect european cities for years ?

Why am I drawing similarities between this and futuristic predictive vids from the 1950s?

Hate to break it to you America but over here in Britain we got the Japanese hitachi javelin (bullet trains thiner sister) train a year ago now. But dependable, don't be daft, this is British rail.
