No way I believe that the government would attempt to bother this family. They are too popular and well known.

I wonder if this still exists? The federal gov is now going after people like them. You see, by not buying vegetables in the supermarket (and by selling them LOCALLY), they are actually affecting interstate commerce (if you can believe that) and need to be regulated. And of course, the community needs to be "protected" from these people who aren't dumping chemicals on their food....
I gotta wonder about the bugs though.

i definately agree with eldrama. Everyone thinks that living this way would "stick it to the man"...but trust that if it starts to get to the goverment's pocket...well..they'll get their money

if this caught on in large numbers of people, the gov would swoop in and tax the crap out of it or make it illegal.
