Savina Yannatou singing a song from Apulia, Southern Italy , actually it's 2 traditional tunes merged into 1 song "Pinguli Pinguli Giuvacchinu" and "Lu purtuni"

from Savina's "Mediterranea" album http://www.amazon.com/Mediterranea-Savina-Yannatou/dp/B00004UES8

  • Lu purtuni = the door (main entrance). Not old, but current dialect of Puglia, a region in southeastern Italy.

  • Per ApulianBlood:

Sì, a Salonico, ma adesso lavoro in Romania.

Ho vissuto per cinque anni in Italia, a Firenze.

As for that "una faccia una razza"...che posso dire, non è ovvio?:-)

  • Bella canzone

  • @amabiras I agree as well....Much of the southern part of mainland of Italy (Calabria, Apulia..etc.) - have their own versions (dialect) of the Sicilian tongue....(Lingua Sicula) - so they're mutally intelligible ~

  • Juste un murmure...., mais ce murmure a la force d'un fleuve !

    SUPERBE

Thank you very much for sharing

    I love it

  • savina eisai 8ea....

  • the language of this song sounds Sicilian, not any Apulian dialect

  • Voce incredibila , felicitari !

  • To ApulianBlood:
