I just got an iPad2 and using Garageband for iPad, I played a simple song and sang over it for this video. Garageband has some amazing simulated instruments. I don't play piano, so the virtual piano allowed me to play this old song convincingly. I'm still looking for microphone recommendations for direct input to the iPad.

  • I use my ipad2 for my gigs, I use an app called onsong! Amazing it's a music book and you can import lyrics with chords straight from the Internet or copy and paste web pages like huapala.

  • You can pick up the irig imic it's made for the ipad. They have a app with pedals that sound pretty real. Try YouTube it

  • Thanks, Jesse. Nice! I was wondering how to use Garageband too. Looks like you record it on GB, then sing with what you recorded? Also, what microphone do you use? Can I pick one up at a music store or is it a special order?
