  • What is the speed/pressure of the water jet? Hypersonic?

  • @Biobliter - The speed is 2,000 mph or faster (it varies due to mixing tube/orifice/abrasive).

  • dear flowman, how much for dat machine!?

  • @ddaavvaa774 - We have different waterjet systems, depending on your material cutting needs. For pricing info, please contact us at info@flowcorp.com or 800-446-FLOW.

  • what about a large object with multiple sufaces like say a tv from 2003 would that result in any varying result on cutting

  • The Flow water jet is capable of cutting through various materials/layers.

The larger the air gaps in the TV, the more chances there are for the stream to dissipate causing an unclean cut. Certain objects such as a hollow tube of metal are best cut under water.

The water that fills the hollow area keeps the jet stream more coherent to complete the cut on the opposite side of the tube. An object like an LCD TV would likely result in a better cut due to the smaller air gaps within the TV.
