Hugo Montenegro (September 2, 1925 - February 6, 1981) was an American orchestra leader and composer of film soundtracks. His best known work is derived from interpretations of the music from Spaghetti Westerns, especially his cover version of the main theme from the 1966 film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Listening again -thanks for a beautiful upload! I think of Montenegro as a musical chameleon, he embraced so many different musical styles & became a standout of space-age pop with his Moog influenced albums. I'm up to 800 playlists on my channel - they cover over a century of worldwide music. chuck

@cattleman6420012000 - WoW, this goes back to 1872, Bizet wrote it for a poorly received play in Paris three years before he died.
Hugo Montenegro was one of the first playlists I created and now I've got 425 for individual artists & genres, and 120 lists for every year back to 1895. You can listen to the sounds of any past year like you're back in the day.
