Oh, for goodnes sake. Stop it all of you. Bedknobs and broomsticks is a wonderful classic. I'm 73 years and and love the movie just as it was done with AngeLansbury. Disney makes fun of a a tragic era in our history of our civilazation. I love it. In life, if we don't have a sense of humor, then baby we all lose.

@boredjennifer83 "save the world from hostile invaders"=invaders are not of this world, since by definition a world cannot invade itself. Last time I checked, the Nazis were evil, but they weren't from outer space.

Lol...lay off the host...this is youtube for f***'s sake; you described the specifics of the very, very general plot she outlined. kids don't know about ww2. when i was little all i grasped was that magic helped stop mean people, and i totally ate it up!

Pretty much everything you say is wrong. The FILM won an Academy Award, not the video. It was NOT anything like one of the first films to mix animation with with live action - Disney alone had been doing this with features since the 1940s, with films like "Victory Through Air Power" and "Song of the South". The characters are NOT trying to "save the world from hostile invaders." And the DVD's main selling point is not being digitally remastered, it's the extra half hour of restored footage.
