@deepfreezevideo We aren't America. We're Texas. America is lucky enough to have us.

I did NOT sign that "Burleson" declaration. Not all of us here in Burleson are like this.

*Chuckle* I can most certainly understand. What Texas should do is take the bull by the horns so to speak, and lead. Especially in this day and age, it would be very difficult to secede, not to mention having to set up an entirely new government. My thoughts on this are that it would be a long time before Texas secedes if it does at all.

That's me and my son holding the flag in distress.

I was there and it was great Texas needs to stand up

Just give me two weeks notice so I can pack up and get out. Secession talk is embarrassing and it's an insult to the thousands who have given their lives in defense of the USA.
There's no logic in saying you love your country enough to want to leave it.
You're either an American or you're not.

MSNBC was shocked when Governor Perry did mentioned a reference to the Texas's addition to the Union as an Independent republic back in 1845. The Governor mentioned that inapropiate policies and forceful control by the Federal Government in Washington D.C. might lead to potential Secession of the Union by texas accoprding to their initial admission into it treaty. If Texas goes, South Carolina and Luisiana too. Their Governors have been among the more open critics of the Obama Administration.
