1981 was the year he arrived

we played all the sports, year round and all

in our hometown where we played b-ball
he was the best player cause he was so tall
one crazy thing, is how much he eats
pasta n veggies, seafood n meats

is in the third grade he had 2 extra teeth
fifth grade came he was the bell of the ball
class president and king of us all
in the playground well he never would brawl
cause by 4th grade he was taller than mom
went to private school when high school came
soccer and track and cross country team
ran the 400 in the baystate games
and 300 hurdles he was 5th in the state
he drove an old saab, until it would crash
then a volvo, until it would crash
then another old saab and away it would pass
but the Nissan maxima, that one will last
college came he was ahead of his game
class president at Framingham state
commencement speaker when he'd graduate
then next on the list was Waterville maine
for the next 2 years in the snow and the sleet
the campus he ran like you wouldn't believe
Springfield came for his second degree
And that's when diddy n Amanda would meet
