  • There are some hateful elitists who are posting some of these videos. The woman asking a for a "DP" with his own camera, like a 7D, usually isn't looking to pay much more than 100 dollars, just like the video states. Most times, she's not looking to pay anything at all and no one else is getting paid on that kind of shoot either. So complaining about a new camera guy's lack of experience is idiotic coming from somebody who wants everything done for free.

  • double penetration.

  • @xTurnipTimex mee too!

  • I just bought a 7D a month or so ago.. I am a DP..

  • my 2 reactions to awesome video equipment becoming easy to get.

1: I love that so many people including myself can now explore our imagination and create works of art in video form without needing $100.000!

2: I hate that people keep calling themselves professionals when all they have done is purchased some half-decent equipment even if they don't have the foggiest idea on how it works, this also ties into my hatred for incompetently made indie film crap.

    still a funny "episode."

  • i have a 7D!!!! does that make me a dp?!?!?!! hahahahahahaa

  • There are a lot of professionals out there who are irked by the way that cameras and other tools are becoming more readily available to people. Granted, this video is kind of accurate in that there are a lot of people that think because they have the equipment that they are qualified for a job, but the growing availability of equipment should be embraced. It's like paint. Anyone can buy paint, and anyone can paint. Not just anyone can paint WELL. There's no substitute for experience.

  • ya, im not a DP nor close to it...but i know how to do all of the steps she goes through.

i think any novice camera operator would be able to do those.

great vid though, laughed a bunch

  • Being a dp is also a lot more than just adjusting your camera to the correct settings, this video is as bad as the princple itself. zzzz
