another tip
put your ball in the oven at about 130 F and the oil will drip out.
dont use much more or your ball could get cracks.
-
what kind of ball is that
-
You can use WINDEX too.
-
@louisdiaz316 Resurface your bowling ball at your proshop.
-
@Pacoelo yeah- don't use polish bgecause it clogs up the pores of a reactive bowling ball, which means it can't grip the lane and react like it did when you first got it
-
@louisdiaz316 water+oil doesn't do anything dude- the water just slides off and doesn't do anything
-
I would just use warm water to get rid of oil. But you guys know of anything to get rid of the skid marks?
-
@CamTheBrickWall find another one..... no a better would be like what louisdiaz316 said you can get your own house balla nd get it re sized.
-
@idontnoapassword What if the house ball doesn't fit your hand, then what do you do?
-
@louisdiaz316 I guess well having one with your own fingers and a more round shape is nice to have. i just dont get spending 100$ on a ball that does hook. im gunna have to check that out. thanks.
whats the difference between polishing a bowling ball using the machine at the bowling alley and actually cleaning the ball yourself? i'm a little confused....

@louisdiaz316 The machine at the bowling alley does NOT clean the ball. It uses a wax to polish the ball, which is very bad for reactive coverstocks. Reactive balls have pores and these pores are what grip the lane through the oil. This wax actually clogs these pores making the ball lose reaction. A cleaner like Storm Reacta Clean is designed to clean out these pores to keep the ball reacting the way it did when you got it.

@bowlingballcom so those machines at te bowling alley are scams to make you tink that they actually clean the ball from oil?

@louisdiaz316 They are to polish your ball, but they aren't to clean them like most people think. It does the opposite of cleaning. Now if you have a plastic spare ball that you want to go really straight, then they are great.

Why do you have to spray the ball with the cleaner? Why can't you just spray the towel? What is the difference?

@4GPA There's no difference, this is just the most common way.
