Man, he is so great. He gets lost in the shuffle in any discussion of the Beach Boys, but he's got such a spectacular voice and he was able to have a career without the Beach Boys.

Bruce has a very soulful whistle.
It's interesting how he adds words he and there. Beautiful song, and some very nice piano bits.

Honestly, I could watch this just for Bruce Johnston's piano playing.

Slow, boring version. Hes trying to over complicate and jazzify the rhythm too much. This is a horrible interpretation of his own tune. The studio version rules

The fellow asleep is Bob Harris, an English DJ from the '70s. He is still around, but never had any sense or taste - constantly obsessed with Americana - no offence. I'm a true blue Brit, but have always loved this song since my days at uni in the early 70's.

Thanks so much for uploading this. Such a wonderful song. Great to hear it performed so raw. Made my night. Going to try to find Adam Ant - "The day I met God" now!
