脱皮後のネコハエトリ成体♀は再び食用旺盛に。食事中は蓋を外しても逃げないのでじっくり接写観察ができる。この日餌食となったノシメマダラメイガは背側から胸部を噛まれ
Adult female of the Japanese jumping spider, Carrhotus xanthogramma (family Salticidae). At last I could manage to capture the moment of her hunting on film! After some awkward attempts, she caught an Indian meal moth (Plodia interpunctella, family Pyralidae). She spread-eagled the dumbass prey and bit its thorax. Early-May, 2007 in Japan.

haha yeah i know, but mum put moth traps in the pantry, so now they are super hard to find! it sucks ass

instead of using moth traps, how about releasing ur mantis nymphs (or jumping spiders) to let them patrol the pantry on their own? :D
