Obon [return of dead souls] mass in a temple

Obon is the time in July, usually from 16th until 23rd, when in Buddhism dead souls come and go again to spend a little time with families, coincidentally, the death rate on July 16th is higher than other days of the month, supersticiously making imagine that the ancestor souls bring dying members of the family together on this day.
