When she gets older, maybe ten or so, you should look up Camp Horizons if it's in reach for you (South Windham, Connecticut). I just spent the whole summer working there and it's the greatest thing I've done in my life. It's a camp for people with developmental disabilities of all ages who get to partake days filled with fun activities with campers and staff from all over the world. I'm sorry if this sounds like spam or something, but seriously, it is an amazing place for everyone involved.

@BlindMesiah Thanks, I will keep that in mind. We're in Canada, so hopefully we will have something like that here.
