After having disgusted audiences all over the mainland of China in 2008, the cashmere company Heng Yuan Xiang comes back! Same as usual, the company chose to air the ad on Shanghai Dragon TV on Chinese New Year's eve again. I got an question: i am going to learn chinese but is it difficult? Its prob mandarin, or atleast the 'main' language

@CityHOlderOfUtrecht Hi, the speaking language should not be difficult (but you should pay attention to tones, because Mandarin needs tones to distinguish different characters), however, the written language, i.e. Chinese characters, should be a problem for westerners. Anyway, like learning any language, you can master it if you practice a lot.

@CityHOlderOfUtrecht I do hope you can live well in China. But there are a lot of disturbing societal problems there which you may never find unless you live there long enough. My suggestion is to stay in Shanghai or Beijing or some other more international cities because there are large westerner communities there, where you can get enough help to make you blend in the Chinese community.
