@licebuddies he shows the french grip at 2:08, "the way bruford would play" and at 2:22 he quickly shows the german grip what he "mostly plays"

@aakkoin no, french. french is an open hand grip style most often used for timpani to produce the best sound but can be damaging to your arms if done to much =)
