@bostonchip2006 Branford Marsalis played with Sting and Wayne Shorter played with Joni Mitchell... I don't really think she's "Just bursting onto the jazz scene" nor do I think it will be hard to "Shake the Beyonce shadow." Other great saxophonists before her have "shaken the shadow" of vocalists outside of the jazz idiom. I think she plays, convincingly, in many idioms very well.

No offense Tia listen to the UK's Jacqui Hicks or Candy Dulfer you just can't burst onto the jazz scene it will be hard to shake the Beyonce shadow...
