This is how my sister and I used to descale our scalp prior to shampooing. Please note that I am not a doctor; I'm just a fellow sufferer of Scalp Dermatitis with insight on how to control this condition for myself. You should always seek medical advise of course.

  • Thanks..One more question. I want to do kinky twist in my hair for the winter changing them every 4 weeks do u think I could descale once weekly and oil daily? Or do u suggest 2 days with oiling daily?

  • @wladytray It my be a challenge to descale with your hair in twists. I've never tried it myself. But I think it would be better to get your scalp under control first. Otherwise you may end up with flakes caught in your hair that you cannot wash out easily.

  • @SandraIndia just stoppin in to tell youI did the twist but I also descaled daily and did the oil treatment 2x's daily. I looked like a snowhead bcuz of the flakes but washed my hair and it came cleam. I am proud to say that I have notice a significant differenceandwill continue with this method and hopefully I will be cured or free however u wanna say it but I AM SO ELATED!!! If we lived inthe same state and I would hug u really hard and give u a kiss but we not so just imagine it lol

  • @wladytray I'm so happy to hear the method is working for you! I pray that you will be completely cured of this condition soon. Good luck to you and keep me posted. Take Care!

  • ok I have been suffering the last 10 years or so from this. I am willing to try this because nithing is worse than havin a cute style with flake. Where did you get the shampoo from? How often did you wash? I need the complete regimen to follow becuase the shampoo that I was prescribed dried my hair to the fullest. I really appreciate this. I wouldlove tobe scale free again.

  • @wladytray Hello, twice a week, you descale, shampoo/condition (any all natural shampoo will do; Aubrey Organics Honeysuckel Shampoo is great - Whole Foods store). Dry your hair. Then take coconut oil or any natural oil and massage your scalp - every time you wash and dry your hair, you must end by doing this; and leave the oil in. You scalp should never be left bear. Oil and massage your scalp daily between your wash days as well. Good luck!

  • using a lice comb is also very effective.

  • Individuals with Scalp Psoriasis are half of the psoriasis population. The harshness of flaking ranges from petite dandruff-like flakes to plaques with thick, grey scales.Scalp psoriasis often extends past the hairline down onto the face, and on the backs of the ear. Severe scaling and flaking from psoriasis cause most psoriasis victims to experience embarrassment and emotional distress. The American Institute of Advanced Medicine offers treatment for scalp psoriasis and other skin disorders.
