Racial Origins of King Tut

Despite the refusal of the Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass, to release any DNA results which might indicate the racial ancestry of Pharaoh Tutankhamen, the leaked results reveal that King Tut's DNA is a match with Western European Y chromosomes.

The DNA test results were inadvertently revealed on a Discovery Channel TV documentary filmed with Hawass's permission — but it seems as if the Egyptian failed to spot the giveaway part of the documentary which revealed the test results.

Hawass previously announced that he would not release the racial DNA results of Egyptian mummies — obviously because he feared the consequences of such a revelation.

@chili40m I'm unsure of what you mean by Rome etc not having pyramids. Pyramids are an ancient structure that is basic in design. Whereas Europe had taken architecture further, to a whole new level with domes and vast arches that were worked out in fine detail. I'm not worried about the whole race/dna issue here, to me that's all irrelevent everyone is here and thats that. I just fail to see why you'd put up that aspect of history for your arguement

The Y chromosome is passed from father to son only.It does not determine the genetic phenotype of a man.Haplo group R1b is present in many men of African descent,therefore King Tut could be  Rb1 and still be black.The problem with these You Tube videos is that people just do not understand the science of molecular biology.

The reason Africa has not duplicated the pyramids is because the constant interference from non African peoples on Africa. Even to this day they wont leave Africa alone. The colonization of Africa has done an unfortunate disservice to African civilization. If the Western world would just leave Africa alone they would be the strongest nation. But of course they won't leave them alone otherwise where would they get there cobalt from and all the precious resources they continue to steal from Africa

How come your European race,never built pyramids in Rome/Vatican in any of the Euro-nations, of the world?

Oh! Besides,we Africans or either African descent were never taught,that we were better then anyone,we were just able to tap into our inner abilities to make the best out of our given talents. All of this racism,starts from your 4 fathers,not from us.We weren't the ones who wrote the bibles, to control the entire world,by forcing people with false religions.Not to mention atrocities.Our writings started from Egyptian's walls,before there were papers.We're working on self identity/acceptance.

Opinions doesn't count.The truth of the matter is,this doesn't have anything to do with race.My point is,black is the absence of all colors,"period" Analogy! There are 80% of people,born with natural dark hair,before turning grey/white.Only 20% of Caucasians, were born with blond hair,In other words,whites weren't around along enough to build anything nor have the capacities or the endurance,to build pyramids.If you really build the pyramids,how come they don't exist in Rome/Europe?
