HOMEMADE UPS!!!, Just 2 car batteries, relay, 220 volt AC to 12 Volt DC transformer, 12 volt DC to 220 Volt AC inverter, ammeter to measure the current, and that's it.

This UPS can Handel the load when the electricity cut off for 6 hours depending on battery size and electrical load.

My friend, this project is for small instruments that you do not want it to cut off, lick ADSL modem, when you are downloading a big file and fear from electrical loose, or for a small light, but in huge loads, it is better to use electrical generator, and this system well be in between of the instruments and generator

  • what kind of relay did you use?

  • You can use a relay according to your country voltage, here in my country I am using 220 volts relay, and it is lick switching, when the main AC id drown off, it engage to battery backup power, so your worl load well not affected.

  • I was thinking about building thiss to, but then I calculated prises and realize that homemade is more expensive.
