This is a free violin course for beginners by Violin Stars. There is an instructional PDF file that goes along with this lesson which can be downloaded for free from our website www.violinstars.com

In this lesson Kim will give you a violin tuning demonstration. She will show you what to do if your violin goes REALLY out of tune! Hopefully that won't happen to you, but if it does, Kim will show you how to get it back into tune. Kim has been teaching the violin for 5 years and has taught private lessons and classes in local schools. She started the Violin Stars website during the summer of 2008 and has been teaching many students online since then. She has worked with over 100 students through her online teaching and has had excellent results.

Kim enjoys teaching and she loves to chat with others about music, so if you have any questions or would just like to chat, send her an email at zclipse@embarqmail.com

  • Who hates this!!!????

  • Thank you so much! I just bought my violin a day ago and found your video after going through several other you tube instruction videos. You are, by far, the best! You are easy to understand and really teach us "newbies" in language we can understand! After viewing your other instructions, I was actually playing a song on day one! I couldn't believe it! Please keep them coming. I would appreciate follow up lessons. Thanks again!

  • @NerdyGamerGirI

    I didn't say that I hate it.

  • @CCkeminliu959 Why do you hate it?

  • Best violin teacher ever !!!

  • If the bridge pops off from over-tightening, just loosen the strings, slide the bridge underneath and stand it upright, then tighten the strings again. No glue, no mess, real easy to solve.

  • Violin strings aren't cheap like guitar strings, so I'm glad they don't go out of tune very easily. You are a great teacher...very casual :)

  • really helpful!

  • @CCkeminliu959 no one hates this

  • Just to be really sure, i think is prefferible to carry an electronic Tuner with you and be learning slowlly how to tune the violin just hearing it. But thanks.
