Good letter and agree with Rollins on tihis occasion with reference to Beckham except with his criticism of football. I understand Americans live in their own bubble and event their own sports that only they care about and then declare a national competition a world series.They structure these sports to accomodate advertising and the yanks low attention span. Despite not being a rugby fan, I have more respect for that when compared to Gridiron as they dont need helmets or shoulder pads......

You don't have to know anything about football or Beckham to know he needs to be made fun of.In England he's in 100's of ads trying SOO hard to look mean & scary.He's in his 30's and to still being trying to prove your manhood at that age when you're a millionaire is sad.Henry probably just glimpsed at him & thought,"Yup! Needs a slap! He certainly does.Gay now doesn't mean 'Homo-sexual(Like pre 1974 it meant 'Carefree or lazy.) it now means lame or weak.I bet Becks didnt laugh at that;no humor.
