@loombaron Was I referring to Rick Schroeder? I don't think so! I meant it's nice to see a guy (fiction or reality) fretting about his looks instead of always seeing a girl feeling inadequate.

He is not insecure, this is fiction, not reality. An insecure guy is probably locked up in his house. he not on TV making millions of dollars.

@Siobanphotogirl Sweetie, in some ways guys have it WORSE! At that age, a girl can be short, tall, thick, small, plump, skinny...and STILL be considered pretty, if awakwardly so. Guys have to deal with the general perception of NOT caring about looks & being intimidated by the reality of girls and their more developed peers. Everybody, even adults, have those things about themselves they're unsure over; it's human nature. I feel for girls, who are often judged soley on looks, but boyssuffer too

these were the days..... I was SOOOO in love with Rick Schroder when I was younger. and the parenting in these shows.... AWESOME!

Rick Schroder and Alfonso Ribeiro were just fantastic in this show. I never realized how good they were. Today we're bombarded by shows with kids who can't act (or over act) like Hannah Montana and Suite Life on Deck. Those shows are so over the top and pathetic. Silver Spoons was done at such a higher level.

it's nice to see a guy (especially a good looking guy) insecure about his looks for a change....normally it's the girl who's insecure.
