PhotoReading is something you can and should use as often as possible. Those who really master any skill use and practice it a lot!

This video, originally in Finnish and now with an English narrator voice, shows PhotoReading Instructor Sakari Turunen flipping pages in the public transport system of Helsinki, Finland

EDIT: ATTENTION! I just made a new section on my website IN ENGLISH, so you might want to check that out for new content. See this at

  • I am a normal human beings, not a robot. Can I also do this?

  • @csayumi8 Sure! LOL Last time I checked, I wasn't a robot either ;-)

  • Photo reading = scanning...

You just learn only a few words.

So photo reading is useless for studying a book.

It is only good for reading.

With speed reading you read the whole book and you do not miss a thing so speed reading is a lot better for studying even if it takes longer.

  • @kenzeus Nah, you've gotten your concepts mixed upt

The PhotoFlipping is just one step of five. What you refer to as speed reading is also included.

  • Interesting concept - it may or may not work, but I find it hard to believe that the method being shown in the video would work with the book that is being read.

Move the slide bar on the video to 1:20 - 1:23.

    The book is upside down.

  • It's been a while since I posted my comment, and I understand the ability for the mind to recognize figures, but I guess, that retention will be different from one person to the next.

I have glanced at magazines, and was aware of conceptually what I had seen, not necessarily what was, read.

I would like to see more research before I can support this type of learning, at least for me,

  • are you like... Microsoft Sams brother?

  • haha i recognize tony buzans book :P

  • @GlydiaPokoli exactly

  • @wieserd

Oh. So you just enter alpha state and take photo of every page. In your brain. It's so simple!

  • I photoread your face, it says SCAM.
