Just got my second P1 and it's good venom have upgraded to 2.4ghz radio and incorporated turn fins into the trim tabs. Still needs a bigger prop though!
-
hows it handle in the waves??
-
The stock motor won't handle 6s. Put a 40-42mm prop on it and run 4s. Or a cheap upgrade is the H3126 1600kv outrunner on 5s. Will prob need to upgrade the esc too though.

can this thing hold up to 6s with an aluminum prop or any kind of good durable prop? if not what is a fast confortable speed for running stock?

My king of shaves was major disappointment.
Right out of the box it had a speed controller that was dead, 5 minutes into my first run the port motor goes up in smoke, when I go to remove Venoms supplied hatch tape big chunks of clearcoat come off with it, 2 runs later, starboard motor same thing.
On another note I bought the boat with the intentions of running 4s packs but when I received my boat the first thing to greet me when I opened the box was a big colorful sheet of paper warning me if I

Its running wet, need to make adjustments to the stinger, raise it a little bit..

It's a great looking hull but the stock prop seems a bit small, I changed over to an x640 and it runs nice. Also it spins out in the turns but some cheap turn fins sorted that. Can you please run the p1 ekos with the c1 ekos and post the vid on YouTube

Just purchased a P1, throttle servo died on the first run, battery / receiver / speed controller internal tray unglued on the second run! Boat outdrive / prop will hit the rudder strut if adjusted to "Bow Up" position. Not a problem because the only way the boat will handle properly is in full "Bow Down" adjustment. Overall the boat handles poorly, notice in the video no tight turns. This boat needs major engineering work in this consumers opinion! Waited a long time. DISSAPPOINTED!
Dear sdstockmann, Did you contact our customer service and what did they do to resolve the problem? We had some motor problems which we fixed on a second production run. Hatch tape problem ... that's new to me. CB

Always on flat water. Its easy for a boat to run on flat calm water. Put 3 or 4 in the water running ovals to see if they can run in race chop. Not too many ponds are like glass as Venoms test pond is. C'mon Venom, give it a REAL test!!

I'll work on getting some more "chop footage" for you. You gotta cut us a little slack. The filming day was 38º and snow/raining! = ) Not too many other guys out on the water that day. Ha Ha. We're getting some better weather so we'll try to get out and get some EKOS vs P1 footage.

Let me know the next time you guys go out there and I'll bring my thunderboat. That will give you some chop!! Haven't seen anybody run out there in a while. My pipe off my whiplash is on the bottom of that pond if you ever happen to stumble onto it!!

@kenoboater
Ha ha. Your pipe is hanging out at the bottom with one of our cameras! Let's make a deal. Whoever goes in has to get both!
