uh, you do know that Thermo-coupled CCD's have the peltier attached to the back of the CCD, don't you? Not sure what good it is going to do on the side of the camera body like that.

what you cannot see is the copperplate, that leads direct inside the camera and is attached direct to the CMOS-Sensor. Please take a look at my homepage and see the "Hypermod".

Interesting mod... how much vibration do you get with that fan?

I tested the vibration at 2m focal length and i found no impact on the size of stars. The cpu-cooler is a "silent" model with very few vibrations. The copper plate is adjustet witch screws inside the camera.

This is what heat dissapation will have to look like for SD cards which can hold like a TB or something crazy... but untill then your kinda going to look like a moron lugging that thing around

Hey. I know a lot about cooling and noise in photos, but could you please explain how you're taking the photos? And why do you need to cool the CMOS? Is it because you can use higher ISOs therefore shorter exposures; if so, what would you average settings be for astro photography? (as in aperture, shutter speed and ISO) - sorry for too many questions!
