THAT is the beauty of having someone like Allen Sides set up mics like that. This is an engineer who people go to for this expert knowledge. I wouldn't dare mic a set up that aggressively for the same concern myself. But that's why it is so great to have Allen's work, correctly in phase, matched pairs of mics and handpicked out of hundreds of vintage mics... pretty incredible really. Rare opportunity to have that on your music.
