  • It's fine thats why I posted this video to help. xD

  • ok ... did everything from scratch and so far it's all good! starting to install all my usual apps and do a shutdown then compare my results. Sorry for spawning your post! :)

  • If that doesn't work I would run a HD test to make sure the drive itself isn't dead.

  • ok now i did a SMC reset, no changes. did a PRAM reset, was happy i got 80 secs of boot time. tested it by booting 1 more time, sad, it's back to 2 mins. Now doing a format and fresh install of leopard. this is turning to something like windows installation now.

  • Okay let me know how it goes and if I can be any assistance. :-)

  • hehe you're online ey! thanks for the reply. i just timed it again and to be exact my boot time is 2 mins and 5 secs till the finder bar comes up.!!! i just did a archive install last night, was wandering if i should do it again. thanks for the other suggestions, will try those first and see how it goes.

  • Sorry to hear about your troubles. If the system is overall slugish try doing a system archive and install using your leopard install disk. To increase boot time try removing your "login items". You could also try resetting the PRAM and SMC.

  • i just got mine back from the service center because it simply hang and lose my latest works, was so damn confident with the new machine. Now it doesn't feel the same, i don't even remember how long it boot up when i first took it out of the box. hmmm should have done some test like this before. Now am getting 1 minute of boot up time. Atleast you're in 45+ ... Thanks for the vid.
