  • I agree, that 12 string sound on the Liverpool Five's version is great, as is the tempo chosen by them .How about that fuzz tone on " She's Mine"?

  • Dylan's version is badass but that Liverpool Five's interprtation is monster.

  • @einherje71 ... I agree ... They had plenty of great songs, but this ( maybe in a tie with Pretty Flamingo ) is the best of them, in my opinion. ... Wayne

  • Manfred Man's best song.

  • I was fourteen years old when I first heard this and I did not realise the effect it would have on me 46 years later. Thank you for posting it.

  • @TheEctomorph R U joiking? Some songs say it out loud: I´m horny horny horny....And MTV is full of seminaked women and men who look like pimps and sing about drugs. Political correctness? Gimme a break! :)

  • brill song

  • "Now I am just a poor boy, baby, trying to connect, Oh, but i'm not trying to make you give anything,

    That you ain't given before."

1965 ...... the year in which i was born. When political correctness was just a twinkle in it's father's eye !!

  • @naychud Nowadays - in the early part of the 21st century - the song "If You've Gotta Go, Go Now" would be banned on the grounds that it is too "non-PC" - NOT on the grounds that its lyrics allude to sexual intercourse.

How times - and social attitudes - have changed since 1965, eh?!!

  • @burnley5960 To say that they [Manfred Mann] were "more than a match for the Beatles or any of the other 60's groups" is to overstate the case, somewhat (in the opinion of most pop/rock critics and journalists, at any rate).

  • @mcdonnell220 These days it would not be called "obscene"; merely "politically incorrect".

  • @TheEctomorph For more Phabulous phallic phrivolity you should check out "The Snake" by the band others have mentioned here since they also recorded this Dylan tune. The Liverpo ol Five were known throughout the Western US for their wild parties with fans.Their music was often filled withdouble entendres.
