  • Thanks again Doctor Dale for making this long time favorite of mine a song I can routinely play now....

  • That is great to hear! Thanks so much for your kind post & all the best with your music,

    dale

  • That was a great lesson . One of my favorite doobie songs. I've always played it like that . Its pretty funny you mention Pat Simmons playing it that way. He does it exactly like that in the Whats Happening Which Doobie Episode.

  • hello, great to hear from another DB fan! great post and thanks for taking your time to do so--all the best with your music!

  • The best breakdown of Doobies' rhythm I've ever seen. I was first inspired to take up guitar by Doobies (among others) in 1978. You're unlocking a lot of little pieces to make my playing more professional. Thanks for your time and effort!

  • great to hear from you and i appreciate the kind post! I'm with you - the DBs really were such a major influence for me as well - all the best with your music,

    dale

  • Thanks tonedr! However, I listened to the song a couple times and I don't think you play the bottom E string in the intro of the song.

  • i really appreciate the kind feedback....thanks for taking your time to check out the video. Hope all is good!

  • I really like the way you talk about the chord shapes and some of the various ways you could play them. IMO a very effective teaching technique. Thanks Dr Dale.
