I forgot to add; they all seem boring and slow compared to BR - unless it's Ed Shaughnessy or a Jazz drummer at that level, which there aren't too many of even today...

Unlike Rock guitar, that has progressed immeasurably from the 60's and 70's, the evolution of Jazz drumming (or drumming PERIOD) seems to have stopped after Buddy Rich - definitely from a hand speed standpoint. I've conducted many searches on YouTube for current and past Jazz and Rock drummers, and they all seem boring and slow compared to BR...

I've been playing and listening to music for over half a century. I don't presume to know who the best drummer of all time is; all I know is these guys can bang 'em. Great stuff. Listen & enjoy!
