Yes, Randy was a good guy (for an Iowa wrestler :-) )
I did wrestle him (I think it was one of the AAU nationals, and though he did beat me, it was one of the most fun matches I've ever had--most of the time we were both flying through the air, twisting like a bunch of whirling dirvishes; he brought out the best in me. I'd like to wrestle him again someday soon (before I get old).

Looked as though the fans thought Darryl was pinned sooner. Qyite a bout. Darryl did win 2 NCAA titles IIRC.

Aways a lot of action in Randy's matches. He's a very nice guy... glad I never had to wrestle him on the mat.
