Hamas is the Islamic KKK. Hamas is worse than the KKK. While the KKK calls for black people to be treated as second-class citizens, Hamas calls for not just the destruction of Israel but for the killing of every Jew. This is from NPR radio, which inevitable shows the incitement of Hamas TV while doing an objective report on hamas TV. Here Hamas TV is calling for the spread of Islam, calls for the world to dominated by their form of Islam, calling it world revolution, which the Communists used to mean to make the whole world Communist, and calls for the destruction of Israel. After seeing this very important report, do you expect Israel to negotiate with Hamas. I don't agree with NPR on everything. It is a neutral radio station and website and this report is accurate. @9050James, how come when Jordan and Egypt had the territories, there was no intifadas or terrorism against those countries [not saying there should be, but just saying simply facts]? Look at who accepted and who rejected the 1947 partition plan, which would've given the Arabs a state on Gaza and the West Bank, plus more land. There was terrorism on Israel way before she got any of the "occupied" territories. Yes, israel is doing what she can for security.

@9050James, if a Palestinian state is created, it won't be "harmless". Look at Gaza.

It's a terrorist base. Look at the Hamas charter, that is the charter of the same party that imposed a brutal dictatorship on Gaza. If a Palestinian state would be harmless, then harmless has a whole new definition. The Palestinians aren't defending themselves from Israel. They seek Israel's destruction. They had plenty of chances for a state and didn't take any of them because it meant coexistence with Israel.

@9050James, what you're saying is bullshit. The settlements aren't "all over" the territories. Israeli settlers are a minority. And Israel trains their soldiers not to kill innocent civilians and in several cases, even risked the lives of their soldiers to minimize the deaths and the risks of deaths of Palestinian civilians. Israel got the territories from Egypt and Jordan, not from any [non-existent] "Palestinian" nation. [continued]

Hamas has been always wrong in the way they fight Israel. It is stupid to fight against someone you know you don't have any chance to beat. Then the fight has to be carry out from another perspective, more diplomatic, using the media and getting international support.
